Q Sydney opened its doors in November of 1993 and has just passed its 13th birthday. From day one it has found a place in the hearts and minds of Sydney club goers. With a philosophy of being a venue that caters to everybody from the fun loving patron through to the ultra celebrity, it has managed to maintain a consistency normally unheard of in the life span of clubs. The concept of Q was to step away from a dedicated style and provide an alternative for people looking for a place to meet, talk, dance, have a drink, play a game of pinball or pool or more generally just to have fun. Many have commented on how comfortable they feel in the venue, which means that Q has hit its mark. In an environment of other venues throwing millions of dollars at development, Q, although always upgrading, has maintained a very bohemian feel which translates back to its original philosophy.
