  • Innervisions kick start the Spring Bank Holiday Weekend with Dixon & Âme taking over the CAMP basement from midnight all the way through to 7am! Since its inception in 2005 Berlin’s Innervisions label has become a by-word for high-quality, considered, and meaningful house music; a safe-haven in a sea of misconceived and disposable club tracks. Releasing only a handful of records a year, the emphasis is placed unashamedly on special, long-lasting, lovingly packaged releases, each with their own distinct personality. Tonight we welcome the labels owners for what’s sure to be one to remember. Steffen Berkhahn AKA Dixon began his DJing career in the post-Berlin Wall dance explosion that would come to shape the German capital for the next two decades, building his reputation with a mid-week residency in Glubus, the upstairs level of the legendary Tresor club, before moving onto spots at equally revered spaces such as E-Werk, WMF and Weekend. By the late 1990s he had branched into remix and production work, lending his unique style to reinterpretations on labels such as Nuphonic, Compost, Sonar Kollektiv, and of course Innervisions. He also began to establish his reputation for lovingly crafted DJ mixes, from the Off The Limits series to his most recent outing, ‘Temporary Secretary’, which saw him incorporate the skills developed through touring the A Critical Mass project (alongside Âme and Henrik Schwarz) to outstanding effect. Kristian Beyer and Frank Wiedermann AKA Âme have been behind some of the most talked about tracks and remixes of the past 5 years and have established themselves – alongside Dixon – as some of the most sought-after House DJs on the scene, wowing clubbers in Berlin, New York, Tokyo and beyond. From the elegant, dramatic synth stabs of Rej to the subtle poise of Fiori, Frank and Kristian represent epitome of the Innervisions sound. With a killer A Critical Mass live 12’’ just out, a soundtrack for Robert Weine’s classic 1920 silent horror film ‘The Cabinet Of Dr. Caligari’ due to premiere in late March, a Robert Johnson mix from Dixon in the works, and a fourth installment in the Secret Weapons series being just a few of the things Innervisions have in store, 2010 looks set to be another great year for the label and this is the perfect opportunity to catch Âme and Dixon in the intimate basement of the CAMP!
