In the three short years of its life, the Rhythmatic team have played host to guests more often found in the globe's superclubs than in a warehouse space. Offering the devoted crowd an up close and more personal experience to some of the world’s finest dance musicians, Rhythmatic presents itself as a simply delectable party smothered in international beats, wrapped in an almighty and intimate atmosphere. It has turned its glimmer to a blaze, lighting London with a party that excites months in advance. Hosting UK exclusives in the form of back to backs with Matthias Tanzmann and Davide Squillace, touring southern Europe with the likes of Carl Cox and hosting extraordinary London appearances by Marco Carola - the possibilities that exist in Rhythmatic’s world are endless, making them one of the most exciting emerging promotions to come from the UK in a long time. With the ethos altered for the first Rhythmatic Warehouse Party of 2011, the plan of action is simple...make it LIVE! Supported by residents Stathis Lazarides and Wesley Razzy, Rhythmatic bring the three headlining acts; Guillaume & The Coutu Dumonts, Lemos and Damian Schwartz to deliver their own creations throughout the night. Along with their famed ability to set a standout atmosphere, the last two Rhythmatic warehouse parties have been classed as momentous events in London’s 2010 Clubbing history...Yes friends, it is now time to begin writing 2011, are you ready!!! Guillaume & the Coutu Dumonts http://www.myspace.com/guillaumethecoutudumonts Ever an energetic actor in the electronic music scene, Montreal based artist Guillaume Coutu Dumont maintains numerous collaborative projects, performing regularly in his hometown and around the world. Driven by his passion for hybrid forms of musical expression, Guillaume continues on his quest for the ultimate ham bone funk recipe with his solo project: Guillaume & the Coutu Dumonts a special blend of funk, house, techno, gospel, swing and afro-beat. His first album FACE À L'EST was released in 2007 on Musique Risqué and the second BREAKING THE FOURTH WALL in May 2010 on the French imprint Circus Company. So far, his solo outputs are available on MUTEK_rec, Musique Risquée, Hartchef Discos, Floppy Funk, OSLO, Raum Musik and on French labels Circus company and Karat. Guillaume’s initial musical forays were as a percussionist in a funk band, after which he studied latin and classical percussions in college before discovering electro-acoustic composition, which he pursued further at university. It was during this period that he joined [iks], a contemporary jazz formation with whom he recorded two albums and toured for several months in Senegal. Upon his return to Montreal, Guillaume decided to focus his efforts on composition. Influenced as much by concrete music as by techno, which he discovered one night in the midst of a lightning storm, Guillaume founded Egg (MUTEK_rec, Karat, Floppy Funk), Luci (MUTEK_rec, Morris Audio), Chic Miniature (Raummusik, Musique Risquée), Flabbergast (MUTEK_rec), as well as the artistic collective Racam. He has toured with one or another of these projects in north/south America, Europe and Asia. Since January 2007, Guillaume has reached European soil. Like many other, he chose Berlin as his new home base. Traveling all around the block, he’s always looking to get the dance floors grinning with guilty pleasure. C’MON NOW SHAKE THAT ASS! Damián Schwartz www.deepdope.com Last year appeared to be a bit quiet for Damian Schwartz, but nothing like it. Producing a new album with male singer from L.A. Aqeel (www.myspace.com/aqeel) playing Dj, improving the Studio, mixing for other artists and making vinyl sample libraries for future productions, were just some of the things that occupied Damian´s time this year. With some new projects going to be released on next months, like his upcoming label Dope Beats as well as some new productions for Oslo, and with a new web page and Studio (www.deepdope.com), Damian is pleased to anounce a new Live set for this year, full of new music and vibes. Another live set from the upcoming album with singer Aqeel, is also available on request Lemos http://www.myspace.com/llemmosss Despite being only in his mid-twenties, Lemos has become recognised as a major new talent on the electronic music scene. Born and raised in Athens, Lemos has an exciting experimental sound which is significantly shaping and nurturing the Greek scene, and becoming widely admired beyond Mediterranean waters. Lemos’s interest and talent for music first became evident when he started to play the piano from an early age, before moving on to playing the guitar in a punk band, where he relished a more experimental side of music, having more freedom to explore sounds and be more expressive with the music he played. Around the same time he began to listen to Booker T and the Mg's, Herbie Hancock, John Coltrane, Benny Goodman and Louis Prima, building a fondness of funk and soul which would later help shape his own sound, as he now plays both clarinet and saxophone on his own productions. From early productions such as ‘Roza’ and ‘Lookooshere’ EP’s on Resopal, (with his close friend and regular collaborator Kreon) through to work on Cecille Numbers, We Are and Masomenos, this love of experimentation has surfaced time and again. More recently ‘Kalooo’ on Bass Culture (number 13 on Resident Advisor’s top 100 charted tracks of all time) and his ‘Bebe Fefe’ ep on Cecille have given Lemos and given his formidable live set yet more material with appreciative dance floors being found regularly across Europe – Alte Boerse Zurich, Le Regine and Rex Club, Paris, London’s Fabric, Panorama Bar, Cavo Paradiso and a residency at Athens exciting new Blend club.
