  • WE ARE 4!!!! 1 NIGHT, 2 VENUES, 4 ROOMS, 6 HEADLINERS SATURDAY 12TH FEBRUARY 2011 @ VOX WAREHOUSE 10PM - 6AM TODD TERRY (House set) THOMAS SCHUMACHER TIM GREEN EDU IMBERNON CATZ N DOGZ ALEX JONES Luke Pompey Danny Savage Gav Bailey King Tut & The Wookie Somehow a year has already passed since 2010’s epic third birthday celebrations with Faithless and it’s time to unveil Filth’s 4th Birthday plans…. In the last twelve months the colourful northern promotion has switched up its modus operandi, keeping the many devoted disciples on their toes and offering a fresh house and techno slant to all their parties. Ibiza got done, as did various festivals and UK clubs away from their usual Mint Club home. As such, the 4th birthday line-up reflects all that and will play out at new Leeds venue, Vox. It’s a tidy, red brick warehouse with three rooms, plenty of bars and a purpose built sound system ready to be filled with party people from all over the country. The first name up is veteran DJ and producer Todd Terry. Terry is one of the producers who helped to define New York's house music during the 1980s. Terry's productions can be described as a varied collection of samples blending the sounds of classic disco, the more introspective Chicago sound pioneered earlier in the decade, plus plenty of hip-hop attitude and sampling piracy. Next up is German Thomas Schumacher, a man known for his techno slanted productions for Get Physical as well as his impressive DJ shows. He’s toured the world under the Get Physical banner and recently mixed the labels Eight Years of Compilation and lines-up next to Tim Green whose cocoon and Dirtybird productions get caned by everyone from Ritchie Hawtin to Josh Wink, Tiefschwarz to Steve Lawler The fourth headline act is one of the stars of 2010, namely Polish duo Catz & Dogz. Having re-invented themselves with a wholly contemporary sound which takes in dubstep, house, techno, garage and more, their recent Escape From Zoo album on Claude von Stroke’s Mothership was a sensation: you should expect similarly slow and deep electronic sounds from their DJ set, too, which thousands of people in Europe and beyond have enjoyed this year. The final draw is 20 year old Spanish talent Edu Imbernon. A Space, Ibiza resident, Edu is the owner of Eklektisch, his own record label which is regularly supported by artists like Gregor Tresher, Danny Tenaglia and Gabriel Ananda, whilst he also produces rolling tech house cuts for the likes of Great Stuff, Noir Music and leading UK label Cr2 records (with which he has had various hits in the Beatport Top 100 and monthly DJ charts over at influential dance site Resident Advisor). If you’ve been to Filth before, you’ll already be trying to secure tickets for this one. If not, there’s never been a better time to get involved with one of the most exciting parties in the country. ========================================= PRE-PARTY @ DISTRIKT 8PM - 12 AFTERPARTY @ MINT CLUB 5AM - 9 VOX: http://www.voxleeds.com/ ** LTD amount of£15 early bird tickets: ** RESIDENT ADVISOR: http://www.residentadvisor.net/event.aspx?219905 OUTLETS: JUMBO RECORDS (Leeds) CRASH RECORDS (Leeds) JAKINABOX (Headingley) ======================================= Heres a short video following Morley Daves dad to Vox from Leeds station.... http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=1692365743498&oid=38831518189&comments
