  • TILL VON SEIN "Till Von Sein is the master of arrogance, mostly because he rocks crispy white tee’s with catchy slogans on them for like maybe two or three uses tops and then throws them away. Plus whenever he’s buying sneakers, homeboy always cops two pair. I mean, if that ain’t keeping it really real in Berlin, than we don’t even know." Soul Clap, Boston, 2010. Till is a typical urban kid; growing up in the nineties with skateboarding and hip hop, he was running his own street wear shop for seven years until he in 2006 decided to focus 100% on his music career. Besides working as the booking agent for a number of infamous German acts, Till is also a heavily acclaimed dj and producer with releases on labels like Supplement Facts, Suol and Dirt Crew Recs, with collaborations with Tigerskin, Aera, Chopstick, Catz'n'Dogz etc. and with remixes on Ministry of Sound, Plastic City and many others on the discography. His heart and dedication, however, is to be found in dj'ing. For the past two years he has been travelling all over the world; South Africa, Japan, US and all over Europe never letting the dancefloor down. A dj set from Till Von Sein is soulful and pop infused, you for sure never know what you are gonna get - only thing certain is, that it will be some wicked stuff. Right now he is working on his first Solo Album for Suol which will be out by the end of the year. ATOMLY To some, the ability to cross genres can be confusing, even threatening; for Atomly, it signals his creativity and ability to draw from a greater wellspring than most. Over his last decade of production, Atomly's releases have to some extent reflected his surroundings: beginning with the IDM and breakcore of North Dakota and Minneapolis, past the house sounds that blended his years living in Chicago, through the minimalism and dubstep that emerged during his year in Berlin, to the techno jams he's creating in his current Brooklyn residence. Fortunately for dancefloors in New York and wherever his extensive travels take him, Atomly doesn't just produce: the man knows how to rock a party. His DJ sets, which have been known to take many an afterparty deep into the afternoon, encompass the musical dexterity that is his history. He usually performs surrounded by swaths of revelers, yelling, jumping, exhibiting intense excitement to hear him play, sometimes even in matching unicorn shirts. Since he first launched Atomiq Records in 1999 with his seminal 'Laptop Rock' album, Atomly has released on Wolf + Lamb, Carpark, and Fear, among other labels. He has collaborated with a cabal of artists ranging from breakcore with Enduser to minimal house with Shaun Reeves and Seth Troxler. The venues Atomly has performed in vary as much as his influences and collaborators. Besides the clubs, bars, and loft parties too numerous to list, he has played in a cave, on a boat, massive warehouses on the south side of Chicago, New York's The Bunker, a former German bank vault, fashion shows, protests, and various barns in Wisconsin. What they all have in common is that when Atomly played, everyone was dancing. With such a background, you have to wonder what's up next for Atomly. No doubt he'll continue making and releasing afterhours techno tracks, and collaborate with some of the most innovative face-melters around. However, the next Atomiq record heralds a new era for his label, as he resuscitates vinyl for his third album. After that, he'll don the mantle of curator to release an exciting variety of producers, which seems to be the next logical phase of evolution when you consider his history, taste, and ability to make the party.
