On Saturday 17th December, the Blkmarket Membership party heads over to Miami for a very special evening at one of their favorite venues in the U.S, The Electric Pickle. We are happy to announce that this will be our Miami residency launch with some of our favorite artists and friends! This event will start at 6pm OUTDOORS and will go late into the night INDOORS in the main room. This will go until the club closing time on Sunday 18th December morning. Guest artists joining Blkmarket Membership residents Taimur & Fahad for this Miami event are: Three, Heartthrob from Minus, Ryan Elliott of Spectral / OsTgut Ton fame, PLOT residents Michael Christopher & Alejandro Sab and Electric Pickle owner and resident Will Renuart.
Three needs no introduction to Florida. Three, simply put is one of the best, and is well known for his extended and closing sets around the world. Three's tour dates show both diversity in audience and a genre-bending passion for good music; he's held residencies at NYC's Twilo, Cielo (Robots) and Love, as well as Florida's legendary Simons while playing lauded guest spots at San Franciscos Wicked party, Fabric (UK), Panorama Bar (Berlin), Blkmarket Membership (NYC) and forward thinking events like Japan's Labyrinth Festival, and Australias Rainbow Serpent. A long time friend and partner in crime, we are excited to have him play in his home court.
Jesse Siminski aka Heartthrob is an integral part of Richie Hawtin's Minus label family and is currently one of the label's brightest stars. There's an infectious energy in his sound that rubs off on his audiences but it can also be heard in his musical collaborations. Heartthrob brings something new to the table - be it quirky melodic hooks or twisted vocals - that manages to inspire those around him to even greater heights. His music can be best described as "a messy 'stream of consciousness' daydream." Heartthrob consistently amazes us with his live sets that it was must that we were to invite him to be part of our Miami event.
"What matters most, above all else, is what comes through the speakers," says Detroit's Ryan Elliott. "It must be the right track at the right time, delivered in the right way." One half of Spectral Sound's A&R team, Ryan recently relocated to Berlin to further focus on his DJing, production, and helming Spectral Sound's growing roster from a newly international perspective. Since his move, he has gone onto becoming part of the Berghain/Panorama group of artists and has made his way onto the mighty OsTgut Ton record label. He is a DJ's DJ who has earned that title.
Blkmarket Membership residents Taimur & Fahad's idea and vision back in 2006 has made their night into one of the world's best DJ residencies. Their goal from the beginning had been set to bring in talent which 'inspires us as DJ's in the music we play.' Fast forward 5 years later and these two have played alongside with everyone you can possibly imagine at their own nights, which they curate musically as well from start to finish.
Last but not least, Miami hometown heroes Michael Christopher, Alejandro Sab and Will Renuart complete the lineup.
