After a few months of more intimate (and very magical) affairs to kick off 2013, the time has come for our first 'big one' of the year as we celebrate the start of the sunny season on June 8th.
Its going to be a very special Summer for Art Of Dark as we head to Ibiza for free weekly parties each Saturday on Sirocco Beach, starting June 1st, mark our 2nd Birthday with a huge showcase party in July and a massive London seasons closing party in September as well as festival stages at FSTVL and Vertigo (Italy)
To start all of this in the right way, we have brought together an extremely exciting pairing for the 'Summer Special'.
First on the bill is an artist that will need very little introduction, as Minus superstar BAREM jets in to join us for a rare UK appearence.
Following fellow Minus stable mate Paco Osuna to the Art Of Dark controls, Barem is someone who has had a huge impact on House and Techno for many years, playing across the globe at the world's biggest festivals/parties and taking on a key role in the rise of Richie Hawtins legendary imprint. Barem's sets are undeniable groovy and House infused, whilst retaining that chunky, leftfield, Minmal-Techno sound, that his heritage has bestowed. The introduction of which to our dancelfoor is set to be electric.
Joining Barem is one of Romania's most exciting exports, HERODOT. A key part of the current crop of young stars which orbit the Arpiar/RPR collective, Herodot can be found weaving his unique sound from Sunwaves to Privilege, Ibiza, earning massive amounts of credibility and acclaim along the way for his unique take on forward thinking, high quality House music.
The bringing together of these 2 soundscapes will an extremely memorable party thats unlikely to be repeated anywhere in the world.
To tip the excitment even further we have also added a third highlight to the bill. Pior will be performing a live set, who is part of the hugely well respected collective BIRDSMAKINGMACHINE. Their music is gaining immense support currently amoungst the most credible players on the circuit and this LIVE show will be one thats not to be missed.
Completing the line up will be residents Colin Chiddle, who'll be fresh back from the Art Of Dark opening party at Sirocco Beach, Ibiza, on June 1st & Iain Kemz, who has had his head down in the studio non-stop, with recent tracks being released on Woo.ble Recordings.
