- WELTENBUERGER MUSIC presents the debut of SOULSEEK, the first of its ongoing party series this Wednesday at the LASH in Downtown L.A. As a design label that extensively references the emergence of style within past and contemporary subcultures, WELTENBUERGER MUSIC pursues a narrative of underground dance music extending from West African rhythms to throbbing post-industrial resonances. Their party series, SOULSEEK, is led by collaboration between Bryan Sanderson of the WELTENBUERGER shop and label, as well as Darius Sabbaghzadeh of WELTENBUERGER MUSIC and FUXUS. Together their embrace of outsider house, Continental techno and vintage disco selections showcase the dance floor as the agent of expression for a plurality of social, sexual and artistic identities.
