The Baron of Techno Dave Clarke is back this year with another edition of Dave Clarke Presents on Kingsday in the Melkweg. With a sold-out ADE night still fresh in our memory, the Brit returns on the 25th April with a very impressive line-up. Besides from Mr.Clarke himself, co-headliner of the night is techno veteran Josh Wink. Mike Dehnert and Shifted, two DJ/ producers who have been really hitting it big lately. Finally, completing the line-up are Nuno Dos Santos, DC Presents resident and producer extraordinaire Estroe, ESHU and the inimitable powerhouse Mr Jones.
For many years Dave Clarke has been hosting his renowned club night at The Melkweg and always aims to present cutting-edge alternative dance music with a fine balance between established names and new talent. This fully packed night is charged with a fantastic atmosphere and has deservedly gained somewhat of an iconic status, for Dutch techno lovers and International clubbers this night is an absolute must.
Co-headliner and superstar Josh Wink has been consistently one of the most successful DJs and producers in the scene from as far back as 1988, not an easy feat. The Ovum Records label owner comes to the floor with vast amounts of experience, clearly audible in his flawless DJ sets. Two artists defining the current techno sound are Mike Dehnert and Shifted. The German and Brit have really made big names for themselves over the past few years with their dark and heavy contemporary techno releases which are greatly received by all the major players across the globe. This March, Dehnert releases his new album on the legendary Amsterdam label Delsin and will no doubt be exposing these new cuts to the powerful bass heavy Melkweg sound system and heaving mass of receptive clubbers.
Also playing are two deservedly well respected Dutch DJs, Nuno Dos Santos and Estroe. Further completing the line-up are Nijmegen based collective ESHU and Dave Clarke’s producing partner (who together as _Unsubscribe_ have a list of remixes longer than most) Mr. Jones.
