- Avalon Hollywood is proud to present one of house music’s most intriguing artists, Dennis Ferrer, on April 12. Ferrer has been a titanic figure-head of underground house and has lived and breathed it for over two decades. Supporting Ferrer is the young LA bred DJ/Producer, Delroy Edwards and Manchesters, Trus'me. Read through Ferrer’s discography and its littered with hits; anthems that defined summers and sparked genre resurgences or movements within dance music. Ferrer is always out in front, whether channeling the retro-futurism of classic deep and vocal tinged house, or darker techno strains. Deeply rooted in music at an early age, Trus’me quickly learned to play many instruments procuring his love of music and ultimately creating a lavish crate of records. This Manchester mystro is in a league of his own, by owning the heavily popular label Prime Numbers, releasing two astounding albums Working Night$ and In The Red, and even getting a remix treatment from LCD Soundsystem. Incorporating '80s electro, acid, techno and of course dirty Detroit house influences, Delroy Edwards has caused a huge stir with his monstrous Boiler Room session and highly acclaimed ep 4-Club Use Only on L.I.E.S. Despite being a household name on the label, Edwards took yet another leap in his career by launching his own label, L.A. Club Resource. LACR saw it’s first release last October titled, Untitled EP, from none other than Edwards himself. About Avalon Housed in the historic 1753 Vine building, Avalon has been a fixture in North America’s dance music landscape since opening in Hollywood ten years ago. Avalon was first opened in Boston in 1998 by founder John Lyons, who then took Avalon to New York, before launching in Los Angeles in 2003, making Avalon one of the longest running club brands in America. The club won URB Magazine’s Best Venue poll, has been named a Top 10 club in the world for atmosphere by Resident Advisor, made DJ Mag’s Top 100 Nightclubs List every year since its launch, and was singled out for praise by everyone from Forbes, Hollywood Reporter, Rolling Stone and the WSJ, to Mixmag, I-DJ, People and the Los Angeles Times.
