After its massive success as a new night for Space in 2009, and further building on that throughout 2010 and 2011, Kehakuma joined forces with Richie Hawtin's new concept night ENTER. for 2012 - and the party grew hugely in popularity as a result. For the 2013 season, however, Kehakuma broke away from ENTER. on Thursday nights to hold down its very own Saturday night slot at Space. Very much a party for the underground music lovers with house, deep house, minimal and tech all represented...
The Japanese theme adds the finishing touches but the main draw is without doubt the music policy, as Juan Arenas (Space Artistic Director) explains "Kehakuma emerged with the sole intention of providing good music, produced and performed by people who want to stay out of the commercial channels for the independent music scene."
For 2014, the Barcelona based underground party - Elrow - will join forces with their Japanese amigos to host a double hit Saturday residency at Space. Bringing even more quality music, but with a slightly more ridiculous touch to it on account of their love of fancy dress. Think we're on to a winner here guys.
