- Low Motion and Heavenly Bring you Spanner Spanner is about club music, dark spaces, black plastic and no bullshit! If you were at the first party in April featuring Tessela and Kowton, you know what to expect! If you weren’t now is your chance to find out! On June 27 the unrelenting Spanner sound takes over the dank basement of Sydney clubbing Institution Club 77 with guests Beneath from the UK and Twwth (formally Teeth) out of Finland. Beneath is that most rare of entities within the underground concentric circles: an artist with his own, unmistakable sound. Dark, rolling and percussive, he reverently references the edgy experiments of 2003-2005 dubstep and grime pioneers Youngsta and DMZ while building on the rolling beat foundations of more recent underground house and UK Funky. Helsinki’s Twwth is at the top of his class. He has wowed club audiences over with his so-called ”Northern light-induced-clap-trap-house”. With a slew of releases on Ramp Recordings, Oneman’s 502 Recordings and Sound Pellegrino as well as his own label Signal Life which he runs with fellow Finish Producer Desto. Twwth has developed his own stripped back grime soaked version of modern day club music.
