Anomaly and Melbourne’s Eighty Nine crew have teamed up to bring a true underground force to Sydney’s shores - DJ Spider
Emerging from New York’s booming house and techno scene, DJ Spider's released a myriad of music under many aliases (Kuru, Alarma!, Bomb Site, Mindscraper, Spider Bites) on labels such as The Trilogy Tapes, Killekill, Plan B Recordings, Sublevel Sounds & Beneath The Underground Music. DJ Spider has been remixed by artists such as Amir Alexander, Steven Tang, CTRLS and Hakim Murphy.
Spider’s sound delves into the soulful, human element explored by other NY artists such as Jus Ed, Fred P and DJ QU. Whilst touching on this sound he brings a tougher approach, leaning on techno and industrial influences.
One half of Eighty Nine and Time Division Myn will be playing on the night, with his sound spanning jacking and atmospheric industrial sounds to raw techno beats. The new release from Time Division 'Memory of Shape' was released on 8th September on the vinyl only imprint Short Black Records, with remixes from Amir Alexander and DAKINI9.
