There’s a serious buzz going round the Amsterdam canals these days, as the world’s biggest dance conference Amsterdam Dance Event is upon us. No doubt, one of the most special party’s the ADE has to offer will be on Saturday 18 October, when Woodstock’69 and PLAK present their new project TOUR. Inviting none other than London’s finest Half Baked together with deep house / techno imprint Sistrum Recordings. Situated in the unique venue of Odeon, a historic concert hall right at one of the canals, it promises to be an interesting night for connaisseurs of higher quality house music.
Surely no better place is imaginable for a party like this. The classic Odeon building at the Singel canal has been around for centuries, known as one of the oldest concert halls of Amsterdam. After it was completely renovated it’s grown into a popular location for small concerts and intimate club events, it’s therefore with proud that Woodstock’69 and PLAK can announce their ADE night at this historic venue.
And they’ve invited just the right people to do the job. Half Baked is surely one of the most renowned party’s you can find in London these days. After touring the world this year (from Miami to Moscow to Berlin) now it’s time for some Amsterdam action.
In Odeon the Half Baked family present Romanian cult hero Petre Inspirescu aka Pedro, not a DJ you will find often behind Dutch decks, it’s also going to be his first ADE gig ever. And with the craziness of Half Baked last year’s ADE adventure, expect some deeply rooted dance mayhem this night.
To get things going the Londoners and their Romanian guest of honour are supported by infamous label Sistrum Recordings. Known for their deep house and Detroit techno vibes, label owner Patrice Scott and XDB are promising some of the best sounds from their vaults.
The smaller, second room will be hosted by LowMoneyMusicLove, Elevate and Woodstock’69 residents. Roy Koch, Erik Sebastiaan, Daan Donk and Avos will definitely show you how the Dutch like to party.
