We’re getting deep into playtime season and the good news keeps on coming: Picnic is gonna be hosting the Australian debut of New York super-duo MISTER SATURDAY NIGHT!
What started out as two dudes (Justin Carter and Eamon Harkin) cooking up a fun regular party in NYC back in 2008 has evolved, expanded and ultimately exploded into one of the coolest underground dance brands around. Built on a foundation of exceptional programming, exciting spaces, a keen eye for detail and a seriously good crowd, Mister Saturday Night is the kind of party that artists like Floating Points, Four Tet and Moodymann would - and do! - go to for their good time fix in the Big Apple.
Their brilliant label was the launching pad for New York house wunderkind Anthony Naples in 2012, while the rest of their catalogue includes all kinds of magnificence from Dark Sky, Archie Pelago, Gunnar Haslam and a bunch more highly innovative producers. And then when it comes to the DJ sets… Justin and Eamon are the industry leaders in the field of absolutely slaying it, weaving together house, funk, disco, techno and soul in the most magnificent way. They’re complete masters in the art of party.
Support in the main room comes from Slow Blow and Pelvis, and it’s gonna be another two-floor affair at the Burdekin with the good vibes surging through the beloved Dug Out as well with EK, Rimbombo and Adi Toohey getting intimate.
