- On Saturday March 21st, Avalon is excited to welcome acclaimed German producer and DJ Tensnake to the Hollywood’s biggest stage. Joining Tensnake on this evening are Detroit techno legend Kevin Saunderson and the Grammy award-winning Todd Edwards. Marco Niemerski, better known as Tensnake, has been steadily turning heads and gaining international traction since he released the dance-floor smashing hit “Coma Cat” in 2010. Never one to be pinned down into a single category, Tensnake's genre-defying productions showcase his disco, soul, funk, and 80’s pop influences. His first full length album, Glow, was released in 2014 to widespread positive reception and launched the German artist on an international tour in support of his LP. Productions aside, Tensnake is a talented DJ known for his skills as a selector and ability to seamlessly weave through different styles of music, while keeping the dance floor tuned-in and energized. This special appearance from one of Germany’s finest electronic music artists will surely be a treat for techno aficionados, dance lovers, and everyone in between. To those who know anything about techno, Kevin Saunderson simply needs no introduction. Widely respected as one of the founding fathers of Detroit techno, Kevin Saunderson continues to push the genre through his forward-thinking productions and insatiable DJ sets. Since his beginnings, Kevin has been an innovator to his core. He has taken on many aliases during his decades-spanning career, including his Inner City and E-Dancer projects, and has found success both commercially and in the underground. Drawing from his experience and prominence in the techno and house scenes, Saunderson keeps his DJ sets fresh and exciting for even the most seasoned heads. Come early and don’t miss this set from the KMS Records boss himself! Todd Edwards is an American house music producer and DJ, known for his unique vocal-sampling used within both remixes and original productions. The prolific producer is a frequent collaborator with French superstar duo Daft Punk, having lent his voice on “Face to Face” off 2001’s Discovery album. More recently, Edwards collaborated with the group on Random Access Memories, winning a Grammy in the process. Often cited as a godfather to the UK garage scene, Edwards has toured extensively since the early 2000’s and has an impeccable knowledge of how to make people move.
