After NYE's ecstatic jumpoff we're back for another night of sublime music & moments, this time a little darker, deeper blue.. It's headed by JOEY ANDERSON, a former dancer from NJ/NY's true deep house scene. In recent years he's reemerged as a powerful producer, each release (on Dekmantel, Inimeg, Latency etc) continually drawing us into his emotionally complex world where hypnotic, melancholic grooves bend into startling evocative shapes.
The heady music for eyes-closed dancing continues with Miami's BREAKER 1 2, the alter ego of L.I.E.S.'s Greg Beato. His vibe shifts from raw, pounding and mysterious to darkly uplifting, with one excellent EP on Forbidden Planet and an upcoming release on Nina Kraviz's new label трип. Following his debut on Lovers Rock, BK's rookie of the year DJ WEY will start things off with a live hardware set.
Expect serious bass and clarity from subBASS Sound System's boutique 4-point, and a crystal fragment light sculpture from Julia Sinelnikova aka The Oracle.
