Proudly curated by the teams from Return to Rio and Rotarydisco, the Bloody Good Humans movement is thrilled to present DJ’s FOR REFUGEES – a fundraising event in support of Australia for UNHCR (United Nations High Commission for Refugees).
Today the refugee situation in Europe is unprecedented. Not since the Second World War have so many people been displaced by conflict. By some estimations numbers have now risen to over 4 million, many of whom are women and young children.
UNHCR is on the ground providing urgently needed relief to millions of Syrians in both camps and urban centers. They provide food stamps, medicine, shelter, heating and clothing to enable Syrian refugees to survive in their new environment. UNHCR are also assisting children to attend school, and parents to receive the training and job skills they need to support their families.
Every dollar raised through this event is going directly to UNHCR. Every DJ is playing for free, the promoters are working for free, and the ticketing company is taking no commission.
Donations for tickets start at $20, but we encourage you to pay more if you can afford it, every little bit counts. We’re sure you’ll agree that a DJ lineup like this doesn’t come about every day… it’s probably worth a few more of your hard earned dollars!
