- 2AMFM LIVE SET [JTC+D'Marc Cantu] In 2005, JTC aka James T. Cotton aka Tadd Mullinix teamed up with then roommate D’Marc Cantu to create 2 AMFM, an unflinching take on pure acid-soaked techno and house. Since then this Ann Arbor based duo has put out a slew of records on some of the finest and most respected labels around, such as Nation, Spectral Sound, Creme Organization, MOS Recordings, and Signals. We will also be celebrating his newly released album "American Manier" out now on Bopside Records. https://soundcloud.com/bopside-records Fanon Flowers Another Michigan native (though now based in LA), Fanon Flowers was born and raised in Kalamazoo, exactly halfway between Detroit and Chicago, the birthplaces of techno and house music. He began to garner attention in 1994 when he appeared as Mode Selector on the "Elements of and Experiments with Sound" compilation on Detroit's seminal Planet E Communications and in 1996 on the infamous "Detroit: Beyond the Third Wave" Compilation. Subsequent EPs for such labels as Reference, Konsequent, Sonic mind, Sheep, E-Com, and Holtzplatten established Flowers' reputation as a prominent American techno producer. In 1996, Flowers also started his own techno imprint, Mechanisms Industries to showcase his unique and funky approach to techno. With over 50 records produced and released on various labels, including recently on Modularz, Sect Records, Suburban Avenue, Studio Sound etc. Fanon Flowers has established himself throughout the world and has embarked on several European Tours and one-off events in Slovakia, Spain, Belgium, Sweden, Amsterdam, Germany, England and more.
