  • ★★ Extra tickets add ★★ ★★ Friday 18th March - ReviveHER x Public Possession x Phonica w/ Marvin & Valentino, Bell Towers, Free Care B2B Alex Egan + More ★★ For the first party of 2016, ReviveHER returns to its roots in Hackney Wick. A secret loft party like the good ol’ days.. ★★ Sign up ★★ to reveal location: www.reviveher.com ★ Keep up to date by attending the Facebook Event Here - http://on.fb.me/1KQFUTC First and last chance to see this amazing space before it closes forever. ★ For more info check this link: http://ymlp.com/z5v69b ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ We stumbled into an after after after NYE party and unearthed the perfect setting for the next ReviveHER. 1 minute from the station, yet as brilliant and unique as anything we’ve seen before. Taking it back to ‘88! 2 stripped back rooms: a blank canvas primed for the ReviveHER treatment. Full TPI Sound + Alpha Recording System, balloon-tastic lightshow and some extremely special guests. The savviest selectors behind Europe’s most credible record stores: Phonica Records + Public Possession - going head to head with “star asset” and “local” hero Bell Towers. Those lucky enough to be cocooned in for PP’s last show at ReviveHER know exactly what to expect. Silky, lawless goodness all round. The revolution was not televised. Room 2 will be jammed with secret guests out to celebrate ReviveHER founder Bi-Bop’s birthday that never was! This is strictly dancing behind closed doors. An intimate affair that cannot be repeated. Due to the nature of the party and it’s location, full details and address will be revealed to advanced ticket holders and signees only. Limited super early bird tickets are available now and dwindling down to the last few. The guest list sign up is first come first serve, entitling you a place to pay on the door. However, as capacity is limited and with it being the only chance to party with us in this fool’s paradise, we recommend heading down early or booking your ticket in advance for this once in a life time trip. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Marvin & Valentino (Public Possession / Tambien / Munich) We invite back Marvin & Valentino from the highly respected (Eco-friendly) record store, record label, graphic design studio and (imaginary) catering company Public Possession out of Munich. Our “warehouse apartment party” last year was one of our favourites of all time. Given the location, intimacy and acid house aesthetic of this venue and PP's ballsy approach, we thought we’d try and pip it! Producing under the name Tambien with Bartellow , their label has seen its small family grow to critical acclaim, earning the highly prized Resident Advisor label of the month as well as featuring in RA’s top 20 labels of the year, ahead of Mood Hut and Innervisions. A huge feat considering they only launched in 2013. With lots of their own music featuring alongside a group of little-known producers (Matthew Brown, Lipelis, Obalski, Anton Klint, Samo DJ, Tiago) they have built a strong family ethos over 20 releases. With it’s many complementary zines and merch, Public Possession have built a strong identity and these seeds have started to germinate further afield in recent collaborations with ESP Institute and Kitjen. Their selection in the store is merely a reflection of their idiosyncratic leanings, as Marvin and Valentino explain: "From the beginning we thought to specialise and let our tastes flow into what we sell. There's no record we stock simply to make business. There's 100% trust in our selection.” [sic] They also upload weekly in-stores with guest DJs. It’s true that their dedication to music is infectious. A bug we caught long ago. From running monthly parties at bowling-lane-turned-Munich-nightspot Charlie, M & V now travel the world to satisfy their growing cult following. In our opinion two widely overlooked, insatiable selectors - modest bastards who refuse to take themselves too seriously ;) This is their first London appearance since last year’s ReviveHER Rave. We're ecstatic to have them back. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Bell Towers (Public Possession / Melbourne) PP’s “Star asset” and most prolific producer, Rohan, is one of Melbourne’s Renaissance men: party planner, producer and DJ. Rohan Bruce Bell-Towers has been making it rain melancholy tears on the dance-floor since he started playing records in 2008 as ‘Roman Wafers’ (an “ancient biscuit”). Part of a movement putting a fresh perspective on things down under, along with previous ReviveHERs Roland Tings, Otologic and Tornado Wallace, Bell Towers was named by FACT Magazine as one of the 15 artists to watch for 2015 from Australia. United through a love of “erudite eccentric” music and all-night partying, Rohan and previous guest, designer-come-DJ, Misha Hollenbach (Perks And Mini / P.A.M.), started ‘Bamboo Musik’ (RIP). A party known for its obsessively detailed themes (sound familiar?) that became somewhat of a HQ for Melbourne heads and party people alike. They once hosted a jungle jam with 500 bananas hanging from the ceiling. It’s here he earned a national reputation for his raucous DJ sets. So where better place to express his outlandish musical urges than a smoke-billowing, balloon-flickering theatre full of people going bananas in Hackney Wick!? Producing music as Bell Towers, Rohan’s fun, experimental productions are synonymous with the roots of the Bamboo ethos. His release on Prins Thomas' Internasjonal even included the ode ‘Theme from Bamboo Musik’ alongside popular sleaze-jam ‘Tonight I’m Flying’ with a mix by the Idjut Boys. Since his debut on Canyons' Hole In The Sky label, he’s also released on RUF KUTZ, before settling in as the pin-up boy for Munich's Public Possession: the home to his last 5 consecutive releases. As a producer, Bell Towers dives deep, always retaining enough of a pop element to allow easy entry before mining the depths of early morning emotion through chugging machine rhythms, ethereal pads and cunning melody. Touching on the aforementioned obsessions that arise in his DJ sets but with a distinctly contemporary touch, his latest and greatest, Hyper-Realised-Self (on Public Possession) could be his best. As a DJ he is an adventurous collector with one ear for the esoteric and one for the floor, skating across Italo-disco, J-pop,new wave, house and techno with delicate grace. If his previous guests at ‘Bamboo Musik’ are anything to go by in terms of his taste (2 Many DJs, DJ Harvey, Lovefingers to name but a few and being his first two), then musically he’s the perfect fit. This will be BT’s first ReviveHER set since his UK debut at our party with Tief in 2013. We welcome him back as a fully- fledged Londoner. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Free Care (Meda Fury / Phonica) Extending the theme, we’ve invited Phonica’s Nick Williams and Alex Egan to play B2B. Nick's love affair with DJ'ing started in the mid-90's. It was Ibiza 1998 and a surprise invite to play the infamous Manumission Motel that was the turning point.. He moved to London shortly after, and forged a career in music with Curved Pressings, various music distributors and record shops. Seven years ago he finally landed in Phonica, where he’s remained the Counter Manager ever since, serving up new releases to Theo Parrish, Andrew Weatherall, Floating Points and the rest. His invaluable knowledge has earned him sets warming up for the likes of Moodymann, Henrik Schwarz and Four Tet. Nick is now regarded as one the main resident DJs at Phonica. Whilst promoting his own nights, in the last few years, he’s co ordinated and organized collaborations with ReviveHER, Streets of Beige, Non sense, Xenoglossy and Krankrother (Ft. parties with Magic Mountain High, Kyle Hall, Maurice Fulton, Funkineven and debut UK performances from Max Dunbar, Ron Morelli and Vakula). Two years ago Nick started working as A&R at R&S Records, which saw him create and run a new sub-label for them: Meda Fury. Now on its 10th release - Meda Fury caters for exotic strains of house music from all over the globe. A fresh roster including - Takuya Matsumoto, Hazylujah, Damon Bell and Ryota OPP. With the first album ready to drop this year, the on-trend label has bagged great press and seen Nick gig all over Europe. Bring on the B2B! ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Alex Egan (Utter / Phonica) Nick will go B2B with fellow Phonica counter part Alex Egan. Alex is the Phonica in-house label manager and recently launched his own label 'utter'. The first release was an audio visual collaboration between producer Jack Latham (Jam City) and video artist Daniel Swan titled 'lux laze'. A well known name in London club land, he’s been DJing for over 15 years and has played regularly at celebrated club nights and festivals such as Optimo, Trash, Glastonbury, Bugged Out!, Fabric, Field Day, across Europe and beyond. He was part of the DJ/production duo 'Skull Juice' from 2005 - 2011 and has co-promoted London parties 'Walk The Night', 'High Horse' (T Bar) and the legendary 'Blogger's Delight' (alongside co conspirators Dan Avery + Volte Face) and most recently the experimental/ambient 'Lost Continent' events. As a solo producer he was behind a 2x12" EP as 'The Draughtsman' which featured remixes from Roman Flügel and Daniel Avery, gaining widespread attention. He has also remixed the likes of Joakim, METRONOMY, The xx, Micachu and many more as 'Astronomer' from 2009 - 2011. After a long break from production he finally has new material in the works. Alex dabbles in graphic design too, having worked on artwork for labels such as Erol Alkan’s Phantasy, Phonica, and most recently Going Good. He also somehow finds time to run Symbol - an independent paper that curates the work of a new generation of international artists, distributed to discerning audiences. We can’t wait to have him showcase his record box. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Room 2 (Bi-Bop’s Birthday) Room 2 offers the ReviveHER Birthday that never was. Having had the prestigious pleasure of flying to Tokyo to DJ with Nicolas Jaar, GONNO and Kenji Takimi at an audaciously lavish Miu Miu event event, it was inevitable Bi-Bop would oversleep and miss the flight bound for ReviveHER the same day. As the famous saying goes, “The Party Must Go On”. And so it did: https://vimeo.com/130532722 This year we try again! Room 2 promises to pull in some special favours on the decks alongside close friends and ReviveHERs. We won't be advertising the lineup, but lots of hints to follow ;) ★★ Spoiler alert: This party is strictly dancing behind closed doors. Capacity is limited to 300 only. Address + Full Info e-mailed to ticket holders and guestlist sign ups. ★★ Make sure to sign up to the Facebook Event to receive updates ReviveHER x
