Kross. If you haven't been to our events, we describe Metamorph as an immersive experience that utilizes music and live visuals to incubate a shift in perception. We'll be bringing in additional sound and lighting for this event. Giorgio Gigili: After a deep exploration of several kinds of electronic dance music, in a broad evolutionary path, Giorgio Gigli's music has assumed an intense and personal form of communication. The modules emerging from his compositions run across a process where moods are transformed into waves, layers and substrates that are ready to catch and overwhelm the listener without changing original content. His skill is to transmit an accurate signal using undiscovered frequencies inspired by desolate and noir tinged landscapes. Giorgio transforms his material. Voids, pitfalls, drones and dilated melodies become intricate, sophisticated, and hypnotic rhythmic equipment that runs the risk of constantly changing classicist techno aesthetics in a conceptual derivation close to his soul. This particular working method is also reflected in his harder sets, where rhythm increases tension while it is moving forward unchallenged through industrial echoes, robotic tricks and building grooves that produce shaped variations of his meaning. All these elements are poured into his project "Zooloft Records", the platform that represent him in a past few years. Now his techno vision involved into new collaborative projects with Speedy J's Electric Deluxe and Perc ("Endless" project). Starting from 2011 the collaboration with Electric Deluxe has established an intense relationship ferrying his DJ set in a new dimension where it combines an industrial/dark approach with a solid stream techno club-oriented. Shawn O'Sullivan: Shawn O’Sullivan (aka 400PPM, Vapauteen) is a DJ and producer behind some of the most essential techno releases of the past few years. O’Sullivan’s music is both adventurous and intensely physical, rooted in the history of dark, ambitious club music from minimal synth to EBM, hardcore and industrial techno. A DJ since 1997, O’Sullivan got his start playing gabber, hard acid and breakcore at local parties in small town Iowa. In the 2000s, both as a DJ and a member of the band Led Er Est, he was an instrumental part of the New York’s minimal synth scene. In the early 2010s, O’Sullivan began performing live hardware techno sets. His techno productions grew directly out of these performances. Largely recorded live in the studio, these tracks weld the open ended improvisation of his live sets to the structures of dance floor ready techno, and bring the aggressive experimentation often associated with the best 1990s techno into the 21st century. His subsequent solo releases on labels like Avian, L.I.E.S. and The Corner, and as part of Further Reductions with Katie Rose O’Sullivan and Civil Duty with Beau Wanzer, have cemented his place as a central figure in the ongoing redefinition of techno’s aesthetic possibilities. Rose E. Kross: Rose E. Kross is the solo moniker of Brooklyn based musician, Katie O'Sullivan. She is half of the duo Further Reductions, who have released material on Veronica Vasicka's Cititrax and recently provided a remix of Steffi's "JBW25" via Ostgut Ton. As a DJ, she focuses on driving the dancefloor with special attention to mood and texture, drawing across genre boundaries past and present.
