We've hosted drum 'n' bass sets from local mainstays Umfang and Jacques Renault (under his retired J Initial alias) in addition to big-name artists Matrixxman and Dieselboy; as well as Bristol-influenced bass and techno sets from Timedance mastermind Batu and elusive producer and DJ Neuroshima.
This month, we return to Bossa to host legendary Dub War bossman DAVE Q. Dub War is widely recognized as the first dubstep night in America, hosting artists such as Digital Mystikz, Kode9, Loefah, Skream, Ramadanman, Shackleton and Headhunter in its five-year run (2005–2010). It's been some seven years since the last party, but Dub War's legacy continues to affect both dedicated bass heads from its active years and a younger generation eager to discover the territory that is early dubstep and bass mutations.
Dave Q will be joined by dubstep badman PARRIS – of Wen & Parris fame – and BreakZ resident Shy Eyez.
