For our 6th Birthday we are excited to collaborate with our good friends from GEIST Agency for a very special night with Magda, Cobblestone Jazz (live), Robag Wruhme, dOP (live), Bas Ibellini as well as our residents Daylomar and Koko Bayern. The party will take place at one of East London’s favourite venues - Studio Spaces E1.
We are also particularly enthused as this will be the first time Madga and Cobblestone Jazz ever play at Unleash.
Born in Poland and raised in Detroit, Magda is the enigmatic co-owner of Items & Things as well as former long term affiliate of Richie Hawtin, in particular as part of his legendary M_nus collective. Magda is one of the world’s most revered DJs, notching up a BBC 1 Essential mix, Fabric mix and Balance Series mix during her career, as well as gracing the decks of pretty much every notable festival and club around the world. She's proved herself as a consistent, adventurous and top-quality performer, with a knack for bringing tracks together in unexpected ways.
Cobblestone Jazz are the improvised live techno project of Mathew Jonson, Danuel Tate and Tyger Dhula. With close ties to Itiswhatitis Recordings and Wagon Repair, the Canadian trio, now working out of Berlin, are adored across the world for their electric fully analog live performances that flow across from deepest house to wildest techno. Expect the unexpected!
Robag Wruhme is a key figure in modern, leftfield and melodious house & techno. Often affiliated with DJ Koze’s celebrated Pampa Records, he recently headlined our Pampa showcase in London. We’re delighted to welcome back the German innovator, who will be playing in the Black Studio on November 4
Next up we have the enigmatic French trio dOP, who’ve played countless Unleash events in the past. We cant wait for them to bring their flamboyant style to the party and perform live once again
Rounding off this bumper birthday line-up is man of the moment Bas Ibellini, who’s played with us since the early years and has in recent years been a familiar face at Circoloco, Music On, Tuskegee, BPM, Sonar and many other amazing parties around the world. As always our residents Daylomar and Koko Bayern will be there to complete the line-up for whats promising to be one of our most exciting events to date.
