Stephanie Tsong, who also uses the moniker of Purr Ubu, is a local music curator/DJ as well as an illustrator, designer, and maker. Her academic concentration was in printmaking, though her work has evolved into multimedia and installation. Informed by years of playing classical piano, a love for modern art, and a tendency towards 1970s aesthetic, Stephanie has developed an eclectic range of musical taste. Often present in her sets are Italo-disco, post-punk, cold wave, j-pop, Afro-funk, and new wave.
Stephanie has been involved with various LGBTQ parties such as Bubblepop! (an international pop dance party) as well as Jellyfish, an Italo-disco and post-punk themed night starting early September.
