On Saturday 2nd September 2017 The Project ··lll Collective will hold our first major event - Chapter One. Over 4 Months in the making this will be like nothing else you have experienced in Bali before.
Chapter One will now take place in ALLCAPS graffiti park surrounded by incredibly decorated warehouses allowing us to turn the event into a nightime urban festival with some incredible music and art throught the night.
This event will showcase some of the country's finest electronic artists performing live as well as 5 DJ's through the night including the Project ··||| residents roster, all of whom are well established and known but for this project are taking on aliases to ensure the focus is on the music and not them.
There will also be 4 multimedia art installations from some of the scene's most established and respected names that will involve Video mapping and some very unique installations.
You will witness many forms of electronic music from electronic funk to experimental, through to house and techno, and plenty in between, picking up pace throughout the evening. The event has been programmed to take you on an immersive experience so please come early to support the 40+ performers taking part and more importantly to get the most form this unique event.
This event is an experience, a performance, aiming to tap into all of your senses whilst showcasing the incredible level of talent there is in Indonesia right now building up in pace throughout the night before ending in a crucendo for the last few of hours with the DJ's taking you towards the climax at 4am.
There are well over 40 contibutors taking part, 15 different acts, in a venue we are transforming from an empty space into something very special for one night only.
Any money made from the event will go towards Project ··||| pop-up events from Denpasar to Yogyakarta in 2018, working with the best artists from those key areas. Therefore, whilst we have tried to keep the ticket and bar prices down we ask you to remember your money will be going to a worthy cause.
There will be food on the night from Babi Bagus, Papito's and Dogfang.as well as the legendary 40 Thieves - BALI running the bars.

JONATHAN KUSUMA:
This is a huge booking for us at Project ··|||. Singapore based Jonathan Kusuma or OJON as he is also known, is a genuine Indonesian success story and great role model for any aspiring Indonesian artists and DJ's. With releases on some of Europe's most credible labels including 'I'm A Cliché' from Paris and 'Cocktail D'Amour' out of Berlin he is testament to the Project ··||| belief that you don't have to be from Europe or America to be a genuine and respected artist on the house and techno global scene.
Couple this with the fact that he has been DJ'ing all across Europe and Asia for many years, is totally supportive of the project as well as being one of the co founders of the critically acclaimed Space Recs label borne out of Jakarta, you can understand why his set is being so highly anticipated by so many.

KIMOKAL:
KimoKal is duo, KIMO RIZKY and KALLULA HARSYNTA ESTERLITA and together they are one of the most commercially succesful and credible electronic acts to have come out of Indonesia.
Boldly staking out from a different depth of Indonesia’s music scene they transcend any notions of genre, drawing from psychedelic, nu-wave, dub, electronic, nu-disco, ballad and pop but refusing to be attributed to one particular genre.
Normally booked to play at huge festivals like SXSW most recently, to have them perform in front of just 500 people will be a very intimate and special affair esepcially considering for this set they are bringing their full band.

ASAM:
From the crtically acclaimed DEAD Records label from Jakarta these guys are a bonafide, live techno act, whose unique take on techno made them an obvious choice for a warehouse style event such as ours. ASAM will definitely make their mark on the night... of that much we are certain.

WUKIR SURYADI featuring MATRIX PROJECT COLLAPSE:
WUKIR is of course more commonly known as one half of the legendary outfit SENYAWA who recently stole the show at Potato Head's VICE Indonesia event, and he is set to perform alongside another genuine underground legend of longstanding acclaim MATRIX PROJECT COLLAPSE which is JONAS SESTAKRESNA and his protegé BIMO, for this newly formed side project performing a mind bending experimental and visual set.
ZAT KIMIA - DEBUT ELECTRONIC PERFORMANCE:
Zat Kimia are one of the best indie outfits to be found anywhere in Indonesia. These guys are often compared to Radiohead with their sound, and incredible ability to write and perform such powerful music and when they agreed to perform their first ever electronic set at Project ··||| we were genuinely honoured.

PARIWISATAN:
A local outfit borne from the creative hotspot TUCK & TRAP in Kerobokan the guys have been longtime supporters of the islands underground scene using their coffee shop as a venue for noise performances, cult film screenings, a record store BADUNG DIGS and workshops. Their set will encompass what goes on in their magical little venue with electronic psychadelic funk, fused with some leftfield soft noise.
PROJECT ··||| DJ's:
Dj's from the Project ··III roster set to play include NOZA, KING HORROR & CNTROL. Despite the fact our residents are very well known and you have probably seen at least one or two of them before when not using their project aliases, these guys have been working for weeks to ensure you will get something very different on the night. The residents will also be accompanied by members of PLANET BAMBOO who are a collective of the most accomplished percussionists in Bali.
VISUAL ARTISTS ON THE NIGHT:
GENTUR SURIYA:
Gentur hails from the artistic region of Yogyakarta and is synonymous with his very psychadelic style which he has been putting to work with his latest concept. This theme will continue with his installation but Gentur has assured us he is taking it to another new level!
JNS SESTRAKESNA & BIMO:
Jns is another of the hugley respected underground visual artists both wihin Indonesia and beyond. Another supporter of the noise scene his bamboo structures and video mapping performances have rightfully made him one of the most well known artists across the whole country and his protege Bimo is now fast catching him up.
APE (After Party Experience):
Another of the hugely respected old guard his portfolio is testament to the dexterity of the man as an artist. Often associated with Jns he is another Yogjakartan artist now based in Bali who we are supremely grateful is taking part and is guaranteed to put something together to blow your mind.
SAWDA MUZLAMA and JOHNY GRIM:
Project lll's visuals master Johny Grim has been working as a multimedia artist for over 20 years. From Bandung he was a graduate of the Jakarta Institute of Art and has worked on numerous underground and commercial projects, been nominated and won several acclaimed awards and worked with some of the biggest names in the industry including Larry Heard and Boys Noize amongst many more.
Little was known on the artists, but Sawda Muzlama, which means Dark Black in arabic, who deals in mystical ancient dark arts, believe that all darkness comes from light, and the brightness light came from the darkest places. And of all the darkest places in the universe, the closest to us reside in the human hearts.
