is the solo project by William Benett – a rare and unique figure on the underground noise scene. He is famous as the founder of the pioneering experimental and noise band Whitenoise that existed until 2007. Benett is an expert in the metalanguage, in linguistics and unconscious communication and one of the originators of noise and power electronics. His Whitenoise band was notable for controversial sexual and violent matters and for destroying established boundaries in music. Physical intensity and elusive yet radical approach are still present in his solo project Cut hands where Bennet is influenced by vaudau and Central African percussions. In 2010 his experimental mass hypnotic project “Extralinguistic Sequencing” premiered at Tate Britain. In 2011, he released Afro Noise, an album that was made for 8 years. It is an epitome of polyrhythmic percussions that cut like sharp weapons and bring the scents and spirits of vaudou, santería, vévé, Congo, Haiti, Benin, Brazil, Japan, Korea, djembe, trance, extralinguistic sequencing, el palo mayombe, black mamba.

His production career began within Kompleks, fans’ favorite live duo he once formed with his pal Lule. Schwabe recently drew public attention as Tapan, another slo-mo duo he formed with Goran Simonoski. Two Tapan EPs, „Volume“ for Scott Fraser’s Crimes Of The Future label and „The City“ for Willie Burns’ WT Records show Schwabe’s haunting 100bpm-oriented world in the best possible light.
Malka Tuti released Tapan's record Tarantella and we also expect a new single and LP Europa this year.
Known as the modest master of dark slow rhythms, Schwabe as a DJ is at his best when he is given enough time and space to transcend genre and experiment with his immaculate collection of seductive rhythms, ambient music and ethnic influences.
