Ben Klock returns to Farringdon. A key member of the unstoppable Ostgut Ton roster of more than a decade, Klock is arguably best known for his now-fabled Berghain residency. Throughout his career Klock has become known for his unparalleled marathon length sets, with his impeccable track selection and mixing style now synonymous with the sound of his home club. Most recently Klock has demonstrated this via Klockworks 20, the three-part compilation series released via his cutting-edge imprint. Outside of his regular slots at Berghain, Klock has also been a seasoned guest in our space for the last decade. With his early morning Room One sets now among the most anticipated in our calendar, we keenly await his return. Joining him in Room One is Craig Richards. Known for his expansive record collection spanning across two decades, our own resident’s sound is perhaps defined best by his versatility. Equally at home mixing electro, breaks or techno, Richards joins us tonight for a fully-loaded techno bill. Rounding off the bill is an EC1 regular and one of the key signings on Klockworks, Jay Clarke.
In Room Two, we’re pleased to invite one of the most essential noise labels to helm the space on their 20-year celebrations. Founded in New York by label visionary Dominick Fernow, over the last two decades the Hospital Productions imprint has been avenue for high-quality noise, drone and experimental techno. Throughout their history they’ve championed some of the key artists of this individualist and avant-garde side of electronics, and on their 20-year anniversary they bring the best of these to Room Two. Heading the bill are Ancient Methods and Vatican Shadow performing back-to-back. Individually both artists have brought a distinctive industrial take on techno to the landmark label, while together their regular back-to-back sets have showcased their unrelenting and intense style. Joining them is the elusive noise artist JK Flesh performing live, while label mainstay Becka Diamond rounds off the bill.
