SAT 6th of JUNE sees LOCODISCO burst onto the Sydney club scene kicking and screaming at its new weekly home ‘NEVERMIND’ and they are bringing HEADMAN (Relish) & NEOTERIC (Dubsided) along for the ride.

And so, in the immortal words of Cypress Hill we bring you a new kind of party. A party that’s purely about the party and only the party (try saying that ten times fast)!!! And we are ridiculously excited about the launch of our new raucous Saturday night residency @ Sydney’s uber cool ‘Nevermind’ which is now only a few short weeks away… When the countdown reaches zero we bring the fun kicking and screaming with us along with a whole world of chaos as we shake things up and generally put the ‘dance’ back into ‘dance music, leaving the Sydney club scene a shivering wreck in our wake…
If your idea of a good night out is standing around, posing whilst having a quite chat with your mates this may not be for you… If on the other hand you live for the weekend and see Monday to Friday as filler days only getting in the way of you hitting the clubs and having your much needed fun fix then read on…
So ummm yeah more about locodisco… First of all we do everything. We’re a bit weird. We don’t fancy getting pigeonholed by genre and the people that come to our parties love the fact that across our two rooms they’ll hear everything over the course of one madcap night from upfront house, cool kid indie, current electro bangers, techno tasters, baltimore beats, disco groovers and off course the occasional stone-cold classic anthem … A night of pure twisted musical eclecticisms which may sound bizarre on paper but once you hear it pulsating through the Funktion One speakers you will find yourself helpless, a slave to the beat, throwing your hands in the air and acting like you just don’t care, OH YEAH!!!!
Locodisco flies in the face of regular clubbing and says a big F*CK YOU to convention. This is the party to end all parties (yes we’re making that claim too, just like every promoter out there… except we actually mean it). We’re pimp purveyors peddling perverted parties (and cheesy alliteration as well). A venue as lush as Nevermind is built for good times, and good times shall be had. Saturday night is a night for getting excited, getting ready, getting loooose and getting down! All up, all in, great tunes, good friends, random strangers, the odd freak, a drink or ten, getting wonky, sweating on the dancefloor or coyly romancing in the back room and behaving like those damn kids of today.
Where do we find this magical party you speak of???
The King(s Cross) is dead, long live Oxford St! The cross is played out, same old same old. Oxford St is pulsing with clubbers migrating south for the winter. The strip is reliving it’s glory days with multiple hot new clubs and scores of people… Of course the only club you need to know is Nevermind, where Saturday nights are going loco and you can find us at number 163 Oxford Street, just down from Taylor Square.
So there you have it and that’s who we are. It’s a lot to take in so sit back, take a minute and let it all soak in…. Locodisco, a subtle deviation to the norm – and that’s why we love it. Always with excellent mixing and flow and always one big off the wall party… yeah!
