  • EYESORE magazine launches its latest issue with a three-hour set from John Swing at The Silver Building, a 1960s brutalist building in London's Docklands.
  • To celebrate the launch of EYESORE Issue 3, we will be taking over one of London’s most exciting spaces - a 50,000 sq ft factory in East London’s Silvertown. Our extended family Approved by Pablo will be staging their ‘Silver Sehnsucht’ group show in the space for two weeks and have given us party responsibilities for the closing weekend. To help us out with proceedings, we have invited down John Swing who will be playing a three hour set in the 1960s brutalist building - currently empty and awaiting redevelopment. Before him, Houseplants DJs will be kicking things off. If you’ve been to one of our parties before before then you know what to expect. If you haven’t been so lucky, there is no better introduction. John Swing One of the most well-regarded artists on the circuit, John Swing’s visceral strain of house music has earned him admiration from the likes of Theo Parrish, Floating Points and Mr. G. Assorted Moods, his debut LP released last year, is a must listen and was routinely named as one of the year’s best house records. We are super excited to have John take lead duty on the night with a three-hour set. All tickets come with a free copy of the magazine. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ About EYESORE EYESORE is a print publication focused on documenting cities and investigating places. Previous issues have included the likes of Will Self and Chris Dorley-Brown. Whilst the magazine is produced and printed in London, our content hails from all over the world. From Serbia to Seoul, via Paris and Lincolnshire, we offer a human-based perspective on urban issues which are both local and global at the same time. The content is unrestricted to one form or feature, and EYESORE, or you saw, is the locus. About Silver Sehnsucht From Saturday 30th September to Sunday 8th October, a contemporary art takeover of the 50,000 square foot Silver Building in London’s Docklands will be the experimental B-side response to the annual Frieze Art Fair. Bringing together 12 artists from 6 countries, the free to the public exhibition Silver Sehnsucht will fill the poetically empty rooms of the building with a multi-sensorial, immersive experience of sound, video, installation, performance and events, weeks before the Brutalist block is transformed into a working space for artists and makers in a project being undertaken by Nick Hartwright and the GLA.
