Lobster Theremin debuts at The Pickle Factory on 6th October, with a bumper Lobster lineup in tow. Production wünderkind Route 8 headlines, joined by label boss and Chicago Floatation Device mastermind Asquith, new Workshop signing Ozel AB, who will play live, and Blair Sound Design.
Over the past few years, Lobster Theremin has seized the dance music zeitgeist. Jimmy Asquith’s DIY label, based around a close group of friends, has risen in much the same way that L.I.E.S. exploded out of a Brooklyn bedsit five years ago. Now expanded to a record shop just around the corner in London Fields, the Lobster logo has become an ever-present on London dancefloors, while their release catalogue, from the likes of Route 8, LUZ1E and Minimal Violence, has spearheaded the loose, fuzzy, retro-futuristic musical aesthetic that a new wave of producers now emulate. Headlining for Lobster Theremin on their Pickle debut on 6th October, is Hungarian synth maestro Route 8. He's joined by partner in crime, and Lobster-in-chief Asquith. Ozel AB, the man behind a series of Lobster releases, and the most anticipated Workshop EP in years, will also join for a live performance, while mysterious new Lobster signing Blair Sound Design lends support.
