With his early productions such as "RELEASE YOURSELF", "HEAVEN KNOWS (deep deep down)", "THE CURE", "I LIKE IT", "SOUNDS SO GOOD" and the mind blowing "WELCOME TO THE FACTORY" on his own HOT n SPYCY label, Angel broke new ground and created a deep industrial house sound that inspired many of todays well known DJ/producers. Heavily in use today are the very sounds and techniques pioneered by Moraes. Between that time and now there isn't much Angel hasn't done. Having played countless major cities and spanning the globe from Dubai, Bahrain, Athens, Naples, Zurich, Paris, Barcelona and Ibiza to Los Angeles, San Francisco and beyond, 140 cities in 38 countries and counting. Angel has had an opportunity to share his unique sound and Musical style with legions of adoring fans around the World. A devote sound enthusiast, He was seduced and captivated from his first visits to the now legendary nightclubs of New York's yesteryear by the monstrous sound systems in use at the time. Inspired and totally captivated by this sound he set out on a journey to learn about physics and how sound works in a particular environment. The culmination of that journey ended up in Montreal, Quebec, Canada in the form of the now infamous Stereo after-hours nightclub, designed and built based on Angel's experience at the Paradise Garage. Designing, building and installing the sound system himself, Angels passion resonated with everybody who's anybody in dance music and club goers everywhere. The sound system at Stereo has been hailed as one of the greatest sound systems in modern clubbing history thanks to Angel's relentless pursuit of perfection and his loyalty to the underground spirit of our beloved dance scene. Through out all this Angel has giving us so much in the form of productions and remixes as well as unforgettable clubbing experiences, a slew of other club anthems that have left floors sizzling to that deep, dark, chunky Moraes rhythm. Tracks like "BURNIN UP" and "TO THE RHYTHM" both championed by Junior Vazquez at The Tunnel (NYC), or "LOVE HAS COME AGAIN" and "SLEEPING FASTER" which Danny Tenaglia used to kill at Vinyl (NYC)...And for those who spent time at Crobar (NYC) listening to Victor Calderone or Boris drop "THE FREAKS" and "SHAKEDOWN" Know that there's nothing like those deep Moraes beats. There isn't a DJ who hasn't played an Angel Moraes track at some point or another. In addition to these he has also given us "FUNK TRAIN", "TRIBAL FUNKTION", "TURN IT UP" and "WHEN THE RAIN FALLS", and more recently "MAGIC CARPET" as well as the timeless vocals in "MUSIC IS YOUR LIFE", "UR LOVE IS ALL I NEED", "YOU SHOULDVE SAID" and most recently "RISE ABOVE THE GAME" and "STAY WITH ME". These achievements would be enough for anyone in one lifetime. Not Angel. In recent years he created another legendary party Called "LOVE Sundays" a 12 hour outdoor festival like weekly event which operated every Sunday afternoon in Montreal's old port from 2009 to 2012. In recent years Moraes spends most of his time between his native Brooklyn, N.Y. and Barcelona, Spain working on a new project and to start a new Record Label which will be launched in 2017, a new venue will follow by Years end. In addition Moraes holds down a bi-weekly residency in Barcelona's infamous CARPE DIEM CDLC and is about to launch a sunset boat party with his "LOVE Sundays" banner. The word is out and the town is buzzing with anticipation of what this Man has in store for us next. Stay tuned! DJ SPIDER BIO New York's DJ Spider is involved in many forms of electronic music production and also records under the names, Spider Bites, Kuru, Alarma!, Destination Void, Bomb Site, & Mindscraper. He has appeared on many labels as well as his own imprints, Plan B Recordings, Sublevel Sounds & Beneath The Underground Music (BTU Music). DJ Spider is one of New York's hardest working DJs as well as one of its most distinctive producers, a longtime veteran of many scenes whose roots in noise, old school deep house, hardcore industrial, Punk, and techno show through clearly in his style both on the decks and in the studio. At this point deserving of OG status, Spider was at the forefront of the reemergence of New York's house and techno scene in 2008 and has been working hard ever since, making several appearances in Berghain, FreeRotation, Concrete, and many of the world's most famous locations and earning releases on prestigious labels like The Trilogy Tapes, Killekill, Rekids, and many others. His own Plan B Recordings and Sublevel Sounds labels quickly established themselves as an outlet for New York's most outward-bound house and techno, releasing material from himself, label co-head Dakini9, the upcoming Phil Moffa, and others.
