- For our second Leeds instalment we bring the multi-faceted talent that is Baba Stiltz to Leeds, in a joint venture with Hifi Club Leeds. Baba has been creating music since he was a real young’un, with his first exploration in his early teens dipping into the likes of folk and rap. In his younger years Baba developed a passion for dance and took to ballet; he no longer explores this avenue of self-expression but he continues to inspire others to move their bodies on a very frequent basis. Moving on 10 years his unending diversity hasn’t stopped and in his recent release on Studio Barnhus he carries on the non-genre-specific approach. The track ‘Baby’ adopts a real R’n’B feel to it, and somehow he manages to create coherence between this and the other masterful house-influenced tracks in the EP. As he said himself in an interview with XLR8R 'Music is everything. so I think it makes sense to do anything'. Not only has he traveled European festivals over summer, the Berlin crowd at Panorama Bar Music had the pleasure of witnessing his unique approach earlier in July. Playing alongside artists such as Dr. Rubinstein and Gerd Janson, we have no doubt it was a night to remember. With the ability to craft his music into countless styles, his performance behind the decks promises to be nothing less than mystifying - we're very excited to see see what magic he delivers alongside us on the night...
