Windy Weber and Carl Hultgren began writing and recording music in 1993. Starting out with shorter psychedelic pop songs their sound has morphed through the years into cinematic long form drones. Instrumentation is primarily guitars, with occasional bits of keyboard and bass, and sparse vocals. After a number of releases on labels in the USA and the UK, Windy and Carl have primarily made their home with Kranky Records and with their own record label – Blue Flea.
Windy and Carl's atmospheric music has been used in movies and documentaries, and has been cited through the years as the impetus for many newer acts in the ambient/drone/shoegaze field. Having mainly retired from live performances, they spend their time promoting other people's music through their record store in Dearborn, MI. This performance as part of Ambient Church Fall Season is a rare chance to see them outside of their home base.

Chuck Johnson is a composer and musician residing in Oakland, CA. He approaches his work with an ear towards finding faults and instabilities that might reveal latent beauty, with a focus on guitar, experimental electronics, minimalism and soundtrack composition.
Recordings of his work have been published by VDSQ, Trouble in Mind, Scissor Tail, Merge, and Three Lobed, among others. He has toured internationally and performed at the Hopscotch Music Festival (Raleigh, NC), Debacle Fest (Seattle), the Liverpool Festival of Psychedelia, the San Francisco Electronic Music Festival, Siren Fest (New York), and the San Francisco International Film Festival. Johnson’s credits as a film composer include scores for the HBO documentary Private Violence and the popular PBS show A Chef’s Life. In 2009 he received an MFA in Electronic Music and Intermedia Art from Mills College.
