- Another month is upon us, and with it, another installment of COLONY, keeping things deep, dark and mixed up as we cruise on into the summer. Having settled nicely into our regular slot at The Russian, we'd like to thank everyone who's come down and partied hard so far - it's only gonna get better, believe us. So what of this edition? Well, we're delighted to announce that headlining will be none other than DJ MLZ (aka Miles Whittaker), making his first ever London appearance behind the decks. Anyone familiar with this man's activities - both as MLZ/Millie and as one half of Pendle Coven - will know that he's currently right at the top of his game, producing some frighteningly good dub x techno x IDM for Manchester's imperious Modern Love imprint and remixing impressively for the likes of Pacou and Peter Van Hoesen. An obsessive vinyl collector known for his lengthy, genre-spanning DJ sets, he'll be bringing a righteous selection of beats for you all to get down to, so do the right thing and get involved! Further vinyl wizardry comes courtesy of London's Chris Box: DJ, promoter and mastermind behind the perennially excellent runsounds parties. A man well versed in the arts of deep, forward thinking house and techno, he's played alongside the likes of Daniel Bell, Patrice Scott and Jay Haze at an array of events both nationally and internationally, and it's with great pleasure that we welcome him along to our little shindig. Finally, young Mr Jids - purveyor of all things warped and electroid - will be bringing a finely honed selection of bleepy analogue beats (the likes of which you'll be hearing a lot more of at his forthcoming Desktop parties) to round off the night. Perfect.
