Karara (Ex- Ptaki) Elliott Mess Yet Another - Compartir
- Yet Another Party returns on Saturday 21 October for the usual all-day antics at The Star by Hackney Downs. After his unfortunate accident prevented him from making his UK solo debut for us back in July, we felt it necessary to get him over at the earliest opportunity. Hence we will finally have the mighty KARARA (ex-Ptaki / Transatlantyk) flying in from Poland. It will be one of his first gigs since fully recovering from his injuries. Jaromir Kaminski was one half of Warsaw-based duo, Ptaki. The duo started putting out a distinctive sample-based catalogue back in 2012 and rose to fame with an array of successful releases such as Krystyna (The Very Polish Cut Outs) and their 2015 album, Przelot (Transatlantyk). Championed by the likes of Bill Brewster and featuring on The Boiler Room, Ptaki became (and still are) staples in our record bags. The duo brought the project to an end last year and Jaromir now operates under the name Karara and we’ve been following him closely. Yet Another Party will be his first appearance in the UK and we can’t wait. His new productions are top notch and the mixes we’ve heard are essential listening. He’s the don when it comes to playing down-tempo grooves, but he’s also no stranger to peak time disco bangers.
