Centre Source Records & XL team up to give you a lil somethin' special with SEB WILBLOOD and FOLAMOUR performing their debut Brisbane show this November! Be ready for some warm and hazy house as these fellas grace us with their distinctive sounds.
SEB WILBLOOD:
DJ, producer and label head of south London’s Church, Coastal Haze and All My Thoughts, Seb Wildblood is currently exploring the deeper side of electronic music.
Wildblood has been a key part of the south London club scene via his party-come-label, Church, which has gained him support across the spectrum from artists such as Move D, Gilles Peterson & Mary Anne Hobbs to name a few. Whilst gradually cementing Church’s reputation, the low key producer has also been carefully crafting a sound of his own.
Since his debut LP in the spring of 2015, Wildblood has continued a steady stream of releases that have been acclaimed by the likes of Boiler Room, Fact, ID, BBC, Mixmag and more. And with a host of projects still ready to drop, Seb Wildbood is one to watch as he continues to make a name for himself and his imprint sound.
FOLAMOUR:
Folamour represents the present and future sounds of the disco/house hybrid, staying true to the Glitterbox sonic philosophy. His tracks share the same production values as the timeless records from classic disco imprints in the late 70s; melodies are super-tightly harmonised, instrumentation is lively and the rhythms are designed purely for dance. Recent release, ‘The Power and The Blessing of Unity’, is almost a mini album, exploring all the facets of Folamour’s sophisticated house and disco tendencies. The title track sparkles with brass stabs and a textbook swinging disco beat, whilst ‘Island Of Recent Father’ breaks things down into synthy house goodness; it's a real trip.
Be ready for some swinging hips and disco tips, as Seb Wildblood and Folamour come give us an education on the d-floor at The Fox Level 1 on Friday 17 November from 8PM.
