- From January through March, Artwork plays each Friday for his '13 Works of Art' XOYO residency... Its with huge pleasure that we announce Derrick May, one of the undeniable founding fathers of techno, will join Artwork on Friday 9th March. Of the Belleville Three, the cadre of early Detroit producers who tested the limits of spirit within electronic dance music and changed the integrity of the form forever, Derrick May's reputation as an originator remained intact despite more than a decade of recording inactivity. With Derrick's Transmat Records still standing as one of the forerunners in Detroit techno, we can't think of a better complement for Artwork to showcase his enigmatic techno alias Grain... ___ Admission to XOYO is at management's discretion, advance tickets do not guarantee entry. If entry is refused to a ticket holder, you can obtain a full refund (minus booking fee) by contacting XOYO after the event at [email protected].
