Has been flying the underground flag since 2001 when he began DJing. There are countless mechanisms built into the electronic music industry which relentlessly pull artists toward commercialization, aka selling-out. Butane vows to resist these forces at all costs.
Through the years, he's watched in disappointment as peers (sometimes understandably) succumb to the pressure, and in doing so, ultimately lose the respect of those who matter most - their colleagues and fans. Nevertheless, steadfast, through hard work, dedication, and commitment to artistry, he finds himself a pillar in the scene. This is no accident.
Owner of two exceptional record labels (Extrasketch & Little Helpers), and responsible for a sprawling and impressive discography of original work and remixes, he forges his own path. Against the odds, he believes talent, hard work, dedication to craft, attention to detail, and uncompromising belief in these core principles is the way to conduct a meaningful career in the music business. Because of this, Butane consistently snubs offers promising money in exchange for small pieces of his soul. Those kinds of things chip away at a man until what remains is unrecognizable. Instead, he grows, evolves, changes on his own terms.

Moving to San Francisco and working with the Fringe Art Collective and Janky barge. Victor has enjoyed the honor of playing alongside artists such as The Juan McLain, Freestylers, Bassnectar, BLVD, Glitch Mob, Stanton Warriors, and DJ Icey in venues such as Poleng Lounge, Anu, Mighty, Rain Dance (Santa Cruz), Get Freaky @ 10:15, Burning Man, and Decompression. Victor continues his quest for the last Seven years with the Housepitality Crew as resident and floor manager.
In the coming years, Victor will be focusing further on music production and in utilizing more hardware technology to extend the fluidity of the mix, and continuing his quest for excellence in event-production for the ever-demanding public. Meanwhile, Vega hasn’t lost sight of the point of all this which is to bring people together to share common interests and participate in the evolution of the culture and, most importantly, shake thy butt.

is a DJ/Producer from Mexico that currently resides in San Francisco California. Starting purely out of experimentation, LOUIV's music evolved from the low-fidelity of underground techno and clean scenes of serenity. His Music transitioned in San Francisco into the underground spectrum and is currently a resident with Q Underground, Aftertouch. His sets take steps across a unique blend of textures and grooves with in a minimalist ambience provoking a myriad of images that makes his sound smooth & emotive.
