Bevin Kelley is a sound designer and electronic musician, aka Blevin Blectum, and more recently as Synopterus. She uses sound, imagery, costumes, and loosely narrative objects to create eccentric and mesmerizing performances, exploring topics from science fiction to ornithology. She is half of the Ars Electronica prize-winning duo Blectum from Blechdom (with Kristin Grace Erickson aka Kevin Blechdom), and a third of The Traveling Bubble Ensemble (electroacoustic music-based sci-fi radio plays with Kelley Polar and Elise Kuder). She has performed and toured extensively since 1998, with releases on labels including Orthlorng Musork, Aagoo, Estuary Ltd., Tigerbeat6, DeluxeRecs, Praemedia, Vague Terrain, and Phthalo. A new record, as Synopterus, on the Parisian label Darling Dada is out November 2017. She works and lives with a small flock of parrots in Providence, Rhode Island, USA. http://blevinblectum.com/
