Two years ago, we visited Los Angeles to film Real Scenes LA. During this process we delved into it’s unique, complex and sprawling underground music scene where we found an abundance of creative people, collectives, record labels, radio stations and record shops. In December 2017, we return for a celebration of the scene. We’ll be bringing together key individuals, alongside local and international artists for a weekend of music, experience and discourse.
We’ll be setting up shop at Navel Studios for an afternoon with RA Exchange. The Black Madonna and K-Hand will be sitting down in conversation with Andrew Ryce to discuss their divergent and similar experiences coming up in the midwest dance scene. A number of vital members of the LA scene will be discussing where the landscape is at the moment, and where it's heading, moderated by RA's own Matthew McDermott.
Just added, Matthew McDermott will be in discussion with the venerated ambient musician and Los Angeles resident William Basinski to discuss his decade-spanning career.
Plus we'll be premiering a number of new films from RA in Navel’s newly opened 360 degree film room.
