The Beck’s Berlin Sessions is a program of music events showcasing Germany’s cutting edge electronic music culture. Featuring a combination of established and emerging artists together with local DJs connected to this scene, the series aims to reflect what a great night out in Berlin is all about – music and experiences that challenge, entertain and inspire us. This is the second Beck’s Berlin Sessions tour in 2009 with the first featuring Justus Köhncke, Stimming and Marcus Worgull.
ISOLÉE (PLAYHOUSE) - Isolée is a pivotal artist in the history of house and techno. Creating timeless cross genre music, the Frankfurt born Rajko Müller redefined the new breed of European house at the end of the 90s with the massive hit Beau Mot Plage. His albums Rest (2000) and We Are Monster (2005) on the cult Playhouse imprint drew massive acclaim from clubbers, superstar DJs and media everywhere, from Pitchfork to the New York Times. More recent work including the fantastic remix he did for Recloose's Cardiology and brand new release for Diynamic demonstrates his enduring significance. Isolée will be performing live.

SOLOMUN (DIYNAMIC) - Founder of the skyrocketing Diynamic label, Solomun’s tracks and remixes have found their way onto the cream of labels including Steve Bug’s Dessous imprint, Four: Twenty, Compost Black Label, Liebe Detail, Sonar Kollektiv, Freerange and Buzzin Fly, not to mention his superb discography on Diynamic, including several collaborations, solo productions, remixes, a mix CD and his highly anticipated debut album out in September. Having already played Europe’s best clubs and festivals and gained a reputation for his warm, flowing sets with real depth as well as peaks this is your chance to catch Solomun on his first Australian outing.

ARTO MWAMBÉ (BRONTOSAURUS) - Little was known about Arto Mwambé and his Brontosaurus label from Frankfurt when some beautiful house music started to appear on it in the summer of 2006. Ten releases on and Brontosaurus is shaping up as one of the most hotly tipped beasts out there, its optimistic “proto house” being met with enthusiasm on both disco and deep house dancefloors the world over. Arto Mwambé is one of the aliases of label founder Phillip Lauer, who also produces under his own name Lauer. Embracing Italo disco and piano house with a vengeance and giving fresh inspiration to a movement pioneered by artists like Metro Area, Arto Mwambé is a name you will come to know and love, bringing fun back to the dancefloor.
