Mad Racket's traditional New Year's party is back once again! This year we've plucked a couple of the best to join us.
Claire Morgan last played for us NYE 14 and was amazing. Since then, she has continued to ply her craft and maintain momentum while living in Berlin. Claire has played Panorama Bar multiple times, including the highly coveted closing set, and has now also moved to playing downstairs in the mighty Berghain, twice this year. She has also played peak sets at Tresor, Culture Box (Copenhagen) and Fuse (Brussels) among others. Claire is known for slick, dexterous throwdowns of techno, acid, proper electro and Detroit soul, but is also as accomplished in creating beatless trips. Her ambient sets for God Goes Deep in the Royal Copenhagen Cathedral encapsulate a broad spectrum of music including classical, film scores, personal field recordings and sound collages and have reached a global audience. Recently, at Breakfast Club ADE, she played the main room at Radion. With an obsessive passion for DJing, and a truly unique and musical approach to techno, Claire manages to push boundaries in very pleasant ways. A real powerhouse, we can't wait to hear her at Racket again.
Peret Mako is part of the Racket extended family, regularly tunes the sound system and is an incredibly skilful DJ with his own style. From turntablist supreme to master of the deepness, with a little sax solo thrown in, Peret is a musician on the decks. We always look forward to hearing him do his thing.
Alongside these two magicians will be stage hands Ken Cloud and Simon Caldwell, rounding out what promises to be a most enjoyable evening. Bowl-O-Sonic sound, analog modular visuals, and outdoor smoking by the greens, all provided.
