Lateral returns to the sacred dance sanctuary, Hot Mass, to host one of techno's fastest rising talents for a rare Stateside appearance:
Anastasia Kristensen is an uncompromising force of nature that shifts sounds and tempos at a moment's notice - providing a whirlwind of emboldened intensity that can be felt equally through her productions and DJ sets. Always the adventurer, the Copenhagen-via-Moscow producer has been at it for a while -- finding inspirations from the likes of ballet to effusively digging for records to satisfy her curiosity.
Commanding a rabid following in 2017, Anastasia was featured in Resident Advisor. Pitchfork, Mixmag, FACT Magazine, TRUANTS as well as taking the reigns on one of our favorite Boiler Room sets of the year. Among highlight bookings at Berlin Atonal & Unsound, she has honed her selection technique to weave a web that incorporates barreling breaks, blistering techno and buoyant electro in scintillating fashion - focusing on elements as kinetic as they are groove-driven.
On opening duties, we tapped Newtype Rhythms lead Sheepshead - the NYC-based selector who streams a monastery of madness through sonic explorations of off-kilter techno & spaced out electro on each episode through Newtown Radio. As host, he provides his own sets as well as featuring special mixes from a plethora of domestic/international acts.
