We’re delighted to be kicking off 2018 with a big old bang and inviting along two absolutely divine artists for the ride. These two have continually pushed the envelope of electronic music year in, year out and show no real signs of letting up just yet. First up, we are buzzed to have the esteemed talents of Perlon mainstay and Ms. Melliflow herself, VERA, as she ventures into the Wire basement for the first time. Joining her will be a welcome return for a real BSU favourite in the form of all round power selector, JANE FITZ.
Vera Heindel has been at the forefront of house and techno for the last fifteen years or so. Born out of Heidelburg and now residing in Berlin, Vera is a prominent feature at CDV, Get Perlonized! and Robert Johnson, she has shared the booth with some of the finest the world over as well as collaborating with some sublime producers along the way. Alongside Romanian parter-in-crime Alexandra, Vera has recently masterminded one of the leading purveyors of spacey, deep minimal in the form of the Melliflow imprint. Vera's expert ear for the weird and wonderful is showcased throughout her exceptional selections and precision mixing. We're in for a real treat that's all we can say.
A cult hero the world over, Jane literally has it all in the bag with a record collection that some of us would most likely die for. Ambient, dub, electro, acid, techno, house…the list goes on and on. Her residency at the much lauded Free Rotation festival, legendary Night Moves parties and a career that has seen her throw it down at some of the finest venues across the planet has cemented her as one of the jewels in the British electronic music scene’s crown.
