『ART DEPARTMENTが約2年ぶりに来日！新世代ハウスデュオLOWHEADSの日本初上陸も決定！』
戦慄のデビューから7年。いまなおトップを走り続けるART DEPARTMENTが約2年ぶりに来日! 2011年、Crosstown Rebelsからリリースされたデビュー曲“Without You”が、音楽配信サイトbeatportでその年に最もダウンロードされた曲となり、同年の年間ランキングにてRAとGroove Magの両誌にて“Track of the Year 2011”を獲得。さらには、1stアルバム「The Drawing Board」がiTunesの“Best Electronic Album 2011”で2位に選ばれるなど、デビューしてすぐさまトップアーティストの仲間入りを果たしたART DEPARTMENT。DJとしての評価も高く、RAの読者投票ランキングでも初登場６位となり、Mixmagでは２位を記録。以降、『Coachella』や『DEMF』といった著名フェスティバルを含む年間160本のギグをこなしてきたトップDJ。
今回はART DEPARTMENT自らContactでの開催を切望。また、オーガナイズするのはART DEPARTMENTを2012年に初来日させて以降、プライベートでも親交の深いLiLiTHだけに特別なギグになることを期待したい。
さらにイタリアとガーナによる新世代ハウスデュオLOWHEADSの初来日も決定！第59回グラミー賞にノミネートされた「Louie Vega Starring...XXVIII」収録曲の“See some light”のリミックスや、Strictly Rhythm、Classic Music Company、Defectedといった名門ハウスレーベルから作品を次々と発表する次世代プロデューサーの日本での初ギグにも要注目だ。

7 years has passed since ART DEPARTMENT made his debut, and will be making his way back for the first time in 2 years. In 2011, his debut single 「Without You」released from “Crosstown Rebels” was the most downloaded track on Beatport, as well as ranking in at RA and Groove Mag’s Track of the Year 2011. His first album 「The Drawing Board」was selected #2 in iTunes’ Best Electronic Album 2011. Not only as a producer, he quickly rose to the top as a DJ ranking in at #6 in the RA Poll, and #2 in Mixmag. 160 gigs within a year including some of the biggest festivals such as Coachella and DEMF.
For this occasion, he himself chose Contact as the venue with the organizer LiLiTH, who brought him to Japan in 2012.
To make this night even more special, the new generation house duo from Italy and Ghana, LOWHEADS will be making their Japan debut. The duo has also remixed 「See Some Light」from Grammy nominated 「Louie Vega Starring…XXVIII」along with countless releases from labels such as “Strictly Rhythm”, “Classic Music Company” and “Defected”.
