Shutta (Roots United, True Flavas; St Petersburg) is a St. Petersburg based producer, musician and DJ, twice contributor to Boiler Room Russia (as a DJ, at the 2016 Present Perfect Festival; and as a member of the band True Flavas (bass guitar), at the 2017 Boiler Room showcase in Petersburg).
DJ Shutta is a regular name in the line-ups of Petersburg’s key club events at venues including Stackenschneider (where he is a resident), Gestalt, Tanzploshadka (resident), and Kuznya. He is also resident of one of the leading Russian electronic music formations Roots United—the organizers and curators of the landmark festival of electronic music and new urban culture Preset Perfect and a series of major electronic gigs OFF, who have been contributing to the development of local techno and house scenes over the past 8 years, and have also launched their own record label of the same name.
At various times, he shared a DJ booth with Ben UFO, Mesak, Scuba, DJ Stingray, Martyn, Call Super, James Dean Brown, Mike Servito, Delta Funktionen, Onur Özer, Steve O’Sullivan, Shed, and a number of other prominent electronic musicians.
