- Norman Jay MBE is a name that needs little in the way of an introduction. A British institution in himself, his journey has taken him across London from working with Gilles Peterson on his label Talkin' Loud to performing regularly at Notting Hill Carnival and on BBC Radio 1. In short he's a bonafide soul and funk legend, and the perfect DJ for Soul City. ___ Admission to Jazz Cafe is at management's discretion, advance tickets do not guarantee entry. If entry is refused to a ticket holder, you can obtain a full refund (minus booking fee) by contacting Jazz Cafe after the event at [email protected]. If advance tickets are sold out, there will be plenty available on the door from 22:30 so feel free to walk up. We recommend getting down early to avoid queues.
