Its been an emotional journey since our humble beginnings back in 2013. Over these 5 years we have slowly but surely grown into something that we consider to be more than just a club night. Warm Up has grown into a community, a family, a sanctuary for many, a place of freedom and London’s number one home for emotive electronic music.
Before Warm Up’s conception, founder Aidan Doherty had a musical vision, a vision that was inspired by many artists, but two producers stood out amongst the rest, Dominik Eulberg & Ryan Davis. Both played a prominent role in his drive to want become a DJ himself and in turn, create a hub (Warm Up) where people could come to hear these divine and emotionally poignant styles of music here in London, whilst feeling a part of a community and connected to one another. After years of hard work; failures, successes and self belief, we can finally say we reached our goal, but there is so much more to come! Warm Up has become a life changing project that unites so many people and we will continue to build this community and spread the word of Warm Up, it’s that simple. When you truly love what you do as much as we do, you can never imagine doing anything else. 5 years down, but many more years to come!
With all this in mind it was a no-brainer for us to invite Dominik & Ryan over as our special guests. As our fifth birthday is such a landmark occasion for us, we decided we needed to add a unique twist. After many years of asking, Dominik finally agreed to play his sought after live show for us. We are so excited to finally witness this spectacle, this will also be a one off UK show that will not happen again, so it goes without saying… DON’T MISS IT.
We hope to see all of our wonderful Warm Up family out in full force for this one. It’s going to be a very special birthday.
Turning five is a big mile stone, so we have decided to throw TWO special events to mark the occasion, this one being Part 1, focusing more on our guests and Part 2 being a full day & night Warm Up showcase in the heart of Hackney Wick on May 6th. Our trusted residents Aidan, Jorge & Gus will play on rotation from start to finish. Again, doing this was a no brainer for us. You all know how wild that one will get!… Keep your eyes peeled for the announcement.
In the mean time, please spread the word that Warm Up celebrates 5 years of love on April 7th at our beloved Steelyard.
