- Growing up in the legendary Chicago scene of the 80s, Rahaan found his feet spinning pumping house, rare disco and boogie at parties around the city since he was a teenager. Widely considered to be "your favourite DJ's favourite DJ," he connects the Chicago sound over to New Yorkers Danny Krivit and Nicky Siano, and Europeans Motor City Drum Ensemble and Floating Points. Joining him in the booth is Swedish producer Mr Tophat. Taking in the nu-disco Scandinavian sound of Todd Terje and Lindstrom and injecting it with boogie and pop (check his collab with electro pop star Robyn), Tophat's star has quickly risen to the same level of his peers. ___ Admission to Jazz Cafe is at management's discretion, advance tickets do not guarantee entry. If entry is refused to a ticket holder, you can obtain a full refund (minus booking fee) by contacting Jazz Cafe after the event at [email protected]. If advance tickets are sold out, there will be plenty available on the door from 22:30 so feel free to walk up. We recommend getting down early to avoid queues.
