You might have your doctorate in staying out all night, but this is your chance to dip into some of the musical knowledge that provides the gasoline for Berlin’s best clubnights.
On Friday July 10th between 5-9pm at WMF, you can hear Hank Shocklee (Bomb Squad) discuss his ‘wall of sound’ technique for Public Enemy or Ice Cube, before Appleblim takes the mic to expose the links between techno, dubstep and soul.
Then, on Saturday July 11th at the same time and location, the Rheinland’s proud sons Mouse on Mars will dissect their experimentalist dancefloor leanings, and Montreal techno legend Deadbeat will give clues to the inspiration for his tight rhythms and lowdown frequencies.
